Pererenan might be not as popular as Kuta, Seminyak, or Echo beach for now, but people actually loving the area even more because of its quiet nature. Accommodations around pererenan is quite high end, and the restaurants around is also very high in quality.

The iconic landmark of pererenan beach is the statue of Gajah Mina and Dewa Baruna the ruler of the ocean. Interesting story behind this statue.
Gajah Mina is one famous character of hinduism mythology. Its also known as "Elephant Seal" or "Fish Elephant". The legend said it is as big as a whale, and it has a face of an elephant complete with tusk and trunk. However, the local believe that some of this creature still exist in the deep sea.
